Held the 4th weekend in May to honor those who gave us freedom. Procession, food & entertainment. The Memorial Day Procession & Ceremony honors those who gave us freedom! The procession begins at the old Fire Station on South Main Street and ends at the Centre on Main. Family members & volunteers are ask to carry placards with the names of those Grayson County Veterans who passed during service. The Centre on Main will have guest speakers, entertainment, and free lunch provided by GC Fiscal Court.
Mark your calendars and get your items ready! Our Antique Show & Tell Event will be held at the Centre on Main on Saturday, October 26th from 2:00-4:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to bring their antique items to display and tell their story. We want to hear about their importance to our community and/or your family! No antique items are too large or too small to bring! However, you must register your items with us beforehand so that we will know what you plan to bring.
Registration forms can be picked up at the Jack Thomas House during regular hours Monday-Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. We will also be uploading the form to our website at graysoncountykyhistory.com. There is a $5.00 to register your items. Completed forms can be mailed to or dropped off at the Jack Thomas House. The deadline to register is Friday, October 25th at 4:00 pm.
Live music all day, beer garden from Derby City Taproom, and food trucks! hosting music ranging from country to hard rock and all those in between.
